How To Wear Hunter Green
How To Wear Hunter Green
The colour Hunter Green is a beautiful, sophisticated colour for the cold months, but for some reason it is still quite underworn.
With this How To Wear I hope I can sort out some of concerns you might have regarding this colour. (And no, you won’t see any college campus looks!)
To start off: Hunter Green is a cool green (meaning it has a slight blue-ish undertone) which also muted and dark. Therefore, it will suit all ladies best who have dark and cool coloured skin, hair and eyes. Combine it with neutrals like navy blue (dark denim) or black, and you can never go wrong.
If you have lighter hair and skin, I suggest you not to wear dark colours from head-to-toe (it might make you look paler than you are!), but light up your outfit by throwing in a off-white top.
When it comes to colour combinations Hunter Green makes a perfect match with Burgundy Red. Why? Because Green and Red lie opposite to each other on the color wheel (which grants a interesting combination).
Watch out though: The ideal red colour to match is equally muted and dark in it’s colour “intensity” (i.e. not so intense), if you pick abright red, it will look like you are still stuck in the Christmas season (FYI, it’s over now…)!
Said this, I think Hunter Green is a really nice colour to wear, when you have red hair. The warmness of your hair will contrast against the cool colour and make it stand out!
Last but not least: If you’re a fashion daredevil who doesn’t give a damn about colour harmony, try pairing Hunter Green with leopard print! It looks seriously cool!
