What To Wear With Red Heels
I don’t know about you, but whenever I browse a shoe store, there is one type of shoes that always catches my eyes first. It will be a pair of:
Red heels.
They are usually pointed or slightly rounded. In patent, smooth or suede leather. And they look so gorgeous on the shelf!
Red is indisputably THE colour when you want to attract attention (advertising folks know this rule never fails). And I think I also wanted to attract some attention when I ended up buying these red heels. Or… 3 pairs of them.
But we always want to attract attention in a good way, right?
So, here are a few fail-safe suggestions on What To Wear With Red Heels.
What To Wear With Red Heels
1) Pair With Neutral Colours
Your safest bet is to combine your red heels with solid neutral colours such as black, navy blue, grey, cream and white. Let the colour speak for itself!
You can create additional interest by wearing neutrals with different textures such as leather or lace.
2) For Work
Red heels can offer you a sweet escape from the daily routine of going for the same boring formal wear day-in and day-out. They look great with a black or grey pencil skirt and a white blouse.
Make sure to leave your high heel stilettos at home and go for a medium and/or sturdier heel. It’s a professional environment after all.
3) With A Summer Dress
Red heel go well with predominantly white dresses, but you should also try combining them with floral dresses. Look for a pattern that has some nuances of red or any of the complementary colors (pink, orange, etc.).
4) With A Urban-Funky Outfit
Wearing red heels doesn’t always mean you should combine them with something sexy or sophisticated. It also works perfectly with an urban, modern style. Try a statement sweater, or a leopard print.
5) Red On Red
Last but definitely not least, you can wear red on red – full on. Just keep in mind everyone will look at you. But if you are confident and daring enough, go for it!
