London Fashion Week: Street Style

Today’s post is a special one. As some of you know, I decided to make London my home base now. I’m really grateful that I get to do/see/experience loads of interesting things and I have reached a point where I would like to share these experiences with you.

Welcome To My Life!

In today’s post, I would like to share with you my first time experience of London Fashion Week and also introduce to you Cooper & Ella, a fashion label based in New York, but now also growing in the UK (it’s sold at Harvey Nichols, for example).

The great thing about Cooper & Ella is that its design inspiration is a modern day woman who juggles multiple responsibilities. Let’s face it. We all want to look stylish all the time, but with work, play, partners and potentially kids.. who has time to change into a complete new outfit for every occasion? Exactly, no one! It’s all about versatility, isn’t it? That is exactly what Cooper & Ella is about.

When the brand contacted me end of last year for collaboration, it took me around 30 seconds (or the equivalent of typing “Cooper & Ella” into Google and checking out their website) to decide: Of course I want to collaborate! It’s a perfect match to the idea of 3 Ways To Wear!

I picked the white Lauren blouse because of its simplicity and delicate beauty (it has a very nice embroidered part on the top) and decided to style it for a day of London Fashion Week, since it was set as a day full of events.

The morning started – as usual – with checking my social networks. I’m a huge Facebook addict and am now also getting into Twitter. The blouse is really comfortable and can be easily worn at home with a pair of leggings.

Then I got ready to my first time at London Fashion Week. So exciting!

I chose a fail-safe black & white monochromatic look and paired my white Cooper & Ella blouse with black skinny jeans from Zara (similar here) and a black leather jacket from Mango – for a chic look with an edge. For accessories, I picked black heels from Sam Edelman (similar here), a Burberry clutch in dark turquoise metallic (sold out, new collection here) and a stack of bracelets and rings from Stella & Dot.

Fashion Week, here I come!

Going to Fashion Week is really fun. The moment you arrive at Somerset House, you realize that the motto of the event is: Snap and be snapped!

I didn’t really know where to look first, there were so many interesting outfits to look at! If you love people watching, you will have the time of your life there, I promise.

Funny enough, I wasn’t even finished with looking around myself, when the first photographers approached me and asked whether they could take pictures of my outfit and jewelry. It was really that fast!

And when you walk around the ground, you really see a lot of different people, from contemporary modern to funky colourful to …. uhm… a little bit over the top? There are different ways to stand out, I guess.

At some point the sun began to set and I had to rush back.

Party at Cirque Le Soir was on the cards!

For that occasion I got rid of the skinny jeans, tucked my blouse into a high-waised skater skirt from Zara (similar here), threw over a waterfall jacket that I got in Hong Kong (similar here) et volià, within 5 minutes I was ready to go!
