As some of you have seen on my Facebook page, I was helping my friend Carolina Caruso in styling her fashion shoot (check out her blog for the full sneak peek!). The clothes and accessories were kindly provided by FinforWorld, a new fashion initiative aiming to support emerging designers around the globe.

One of the looks was a classic nautical look that you could wear to any day or night time event by the water: A crisp white top, statement pants with anchor print, silver wedges and a clutch (in snake print, just to say you are actually a city girl!).

While the look was just perfect for the shooting location, I was wondering what else you could do with those anchor print pants in every day life, assuming that most of us do not own a boat and are not members of a yacht club… unfortunately.

Spotted: A Denim Overall In Zurich

Love it or hate it, thanks to street style queen Alexa Chung, denim overalls are back. Yes, they are, there is no doubt about that. The big question now is, should this trend be making its way to your closet, yes or no?

Admittedly, denim overalls are incredibly comfortable to wear and very practical. I used to live in one. However, that was back in the ’90s and I was in my early teenage years.

I tossed my old overall before going to college, but when I recently spotted this girl above sitting on the Polyterrasse in Zurich, I did have some second thoughts whether to get a new one or not. After some serious deliberation, I have decided that I will pass on this trend. How to style tribal shorts by 3 Ways To Wear

It seems you really shouldn’t complain too much with Mother Nature. Or she’ll hit you right in your face with a nasty heat wave! I have to admit, I have been moaning for weeks or even months about the cold weather, making fun of global warming (…global WHAT?) and now I am sitting here at my desk thinking air-conditioning should become a standard in European homes as it already is for homes in Asia.

Despite the oven-like environment I did dare to go out and see what’s up on the streets of Zurich. Not surprised people are running around with lots of bare skin, but in particular I liked the outfit of this girl, wearing trendy tribal shorts, a plain top, a classic quilted bag (could it be Chanel?) and cute plastic shoes.
